The exhibition of awarded and nominated books in the competition The Most Beautiful Books of Slovakia is open to the public. It presents books by all creators participated in the competition.
The competition was founded in 1965 to pursued the intention to increase the artistic level and quality of polygraphic processing of books. The main organizer is BIBIANA, the International House of Arts for Children, the co-organizers are: the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic, the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic, the Slovak National Library and the Polygraphy Association in Slovakia.
Publishers have entered the largest number of books (214) in this year's competition. The jury, chaired by Karol Felix, selected twenty books and twelve student works as the Most Beautiful Books of Slovakia 2019. Ten titles won seven major awards.
