Sayed Hasan Mousavi (Iran, 1983-), Iranian painter and illustrator, was born in a middle-class family in Qom. From childhood, he started working in father’s forging. Small pieces of iron in different shapes were the first characters for his illustrations. Drawing and creating super-humans who would save the world, was his hobby in his childhood. He was supposed to be a blacksmith in future when he became familiar with graphic design and a new season in his life started. Illustrating was one of the classes that he must participated which became the main column in this life. He continued his education in Graphic design in Shahid Beheshti university in Karaj. He inspired by Farshid Mesqali, Keveta Pakovska and Stepan Zavrel. He illustrated more than 40 children’s books for different publishers in the world. His artworks have been displayed in Iran, Germany, Denmark, Japan, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Italy, UAE etc. His illustrations were selected for Bologna Annual Illustration Exhibition (2017), he received honor diploma from the Children's Book Council of Iran (IBBY- Iran) (2018). The book Boxer, written and illustrated by him, was mentioned in the White Raven list (2018) and brought him the 2017 Grand Prix at the BIB 2019. He was using his words and pictures to familiarize children with peace culture and created dynamic images that carry a deep moral message.
