In the presence of the Minister of Culture Silvia Hroncová, the opening ceremony of the 29th BIB took place, at which the awards were presented in the P. O. Hviezdoslav Theater.
The patronage of BIB 2023 was taken over by the President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová, the Minister of Culture of the Slovak Republic Silvia Hroncová and the Mayor of Bratislava Matúš Vallo.
