On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Film studio Bratři v triku, the BAB featured two interesting events for children as well as adults (in the framework of the Month of Czech and Slovak Cultural Reciprocity)
In kino Mladosť, the BAB screened twice animated films intended for children – a unique selection of the best-known films by legendary Czech filmmakers Jiří Trnka, Václav Bedřich, Vladimír Lehký and Zdeněk Miler. The spectators of these screenings were the youngest pupils of elementary schools. The cinema was crowded and it was an incredible success.
At the Faculty of Film and Television at the Academy of Performing Arts, the BAB screened a selection of unique films accompanied by a lecture and discussion with Film historian M. Mertová. Since these seven films by J. Trnka, Z. Miler, J. Brdečka and Z. Smetana represent a special chapter in the film history, their screening was a cultural event. Again, the cinema was crowded and the interesting lecture was followed by the lively discussion.
