The ILLUSTRATOR OLYMPUS exhibition is open in another place of its two-years travelling route. The show prepared by BIBIANA Library and the BIB Secretariat presents laureates of the highest awards of the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava (BIB) in a half-century retrospective of this international event. Thanks to assistance of the Slovak Institute in Berlin the exhibition is now open to public in the premises of the Japanese-German Center Berlin.
The exhibition opening was held on November 23, 2016. The introductory speeches were delivered by Masaru Sakato, the Secretary General of the Japanese-German Center, and Viera Polakovičová, the director of the Slovak Institute in Berlin; the curator´s introduction was given by Hana Ondrejičková, the head of the BIBIANA Library and exhibition coordinator. The festive opening was accompanied by a concert of Japanese, Slovak and European old and contemporary music performed by Nao Higano (soprano), Enikö Ginzery (cimbalom) and Naoko Kikuichi (koto).
