Illustrators Awarded on BIB 2017, Tel Aviv, Izrael

On October 25th, the opening of the exhibition Illustrators awarded at BIB 2017 was held at the premises of Tel Aviv Town Hall on Rabin Square. The exhibition is organized under the auspices of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in Israel, Peter Hulényi and is organized by the Israeli Art Association under the direction of Ms. Tanya Sternson, who was a member of the International Jury of BIB 2017.  The State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic, Ivan Sečík, also participated in this activity. In addition to the opening itself, a symposium was also held on this occasion with the topic The Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava: Gateway to the International World of Illustration.  The symposium was attended by Israeli illustrators, Victoria Fomina, a member of the International BIB 2017, Tel Aviv diplomatic corps representatives and Tel Aviv City Council representatives. At the symposium, we discussed "The importance of the BIB for the world of the Picture Book for Children and Youth in the World and the Criteria for Assessing Illustrations", “BIB and its activities at home and abroad ". We also featured films about BIBANA, the International House of Art for children and BIB 2017, which was also featured in RTVS. With this action, we presented the BIB and showed it to be the real mirror of the illustration of the modern world.
