International Animated Film Festival ANIMATOR – POZNAŃ (Poland)

Dates of event :

from: 10. 7. 2015

to: 16. 7. 2015

July 10 – 16, 2015 - The BAB travelled also to Poland to the 8th International Animated Film Festival in Poznań.

In cooperation with the ANIMATOR Festival and its long-standing partner in Poland – The Children´s Art Centre in Poznań, the BAB contributed to the Festival programme by two selected collections of animated films intended for children. Both of these sections commemorated half a century of Slovak animation and the organizers regarded these with special consideration. The Večerníček (Bedtime story) jubilee was presented to children on the stage in such an excellent way as if they were sitting at home, watching television. Before the beginning of the event, all junior spectators received pillows to hint their close familiarity with bedtime stories… At the end, all Slovak participants were invited to the stage. Both little and grown-up viewers alike loved the films, lively reacting to each and every funny or dramatic situation and clapping enthusiastically in a crowded hall. This was also due to the presence of film directors, young authors and at the same time leaders of festival’s Animation Workshops for children – Martin Snopek, Joanna Koźuch and Boris Šima. During the whole week, all three directors worked with the children on films that were a part of the Festival project “The Animator of Tomorrow” whose premiere screening took place at the end of the Festival.
