June 24 – 27, 2015 - The BAB (Biennial of Animation Bratislava) was represented also at the 12th International Animation Film Festival KAFF 2015 in Kecskemét (Hungary).
The KAFF Festival has been a long-standing partner festival of the BAB. As an integral part of their programmes, both of these festivals feature thematic collections of original animation. During this year’s edition of the Festival, children spectators could see an interesting collection of films – the BAB Animation Express – 50 years of Television Animation of Večerníček (Bedtime story). The section of selected films represented Half a century of Slovak animation produced by Television, since it successfully started exactly in the year 1965.
Here, the children could find films by authors from a variety of generations, from founders through their followers up to representatives of the youngest generation. The films were miscellaneous and diverse, comic as well as playful, all without a text. We believe that the children liked them as there was a big applause.
We wish the Animation Express a great trip to other towns!
