Ludwig Volbeda, Holandsko – Grand Prix BIB 2017

Dutch illustrator Ludwig Volbeda mainly works on children’s books.In 2016 he illustrated an absurdist war story written by Benny Lindelauf: How Tortot lost his fish heart. It was awarded with a Gouden Lijst, and nominated for the Boekenpauw bookprize and the Woutertje Pieterse Prijs. Together with Dutch writer Ted van Lieshout he produces the art prints book The Birds, a poetic story about two statues who can’t reach each other. K-U-K DUŠAN KÁLLAY, PETER UCHNÁR, SVETOZÁR KOŠICKÝ

The acronym KUK hiding three top slovak illustrators: Dušan Kallay, Peter Uchnár and Svetozár Košický. In one exhibition project were connect by mutual success.. All three were become holders of non-statutory prices on 26th Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava in 2017.

JEWELLERY STORY

This story presents the amazing realm of jewellery as seen by geologists, jewellers and authors of literature. A little bit of geography, some geology, history and ethnography will teach the kids, how those materials (jewels are made of) came into being, why people like to embellish themselves and what jewellery means to them.
