SLOVAK ANIMATION In memoriam evening dedicated to Katarína Minichová
On occasion of month of the Czecho-Slovak culture reciprocity, BIBIANA and BAB presented a collection of animated movies called “Slovak animation - In memoriam evening dedicated to Katarína Minichová”.This event was held with the cooperation with National Film Archive Prague (NFA), Film and TV faculty of VŠMU Bratislava (FTF VŠMU) and Radio and Television of Slovakia (RTVS).

The birdie and the lion
This is about the freedom of leaving and accepting decisions of those we feel attached to through a bond that will last forever. The kids will learn to know this subtle story of an unusual friendship by the Canadian illustrator Marianne Dubuc not just through the reading of this book and discussing it, but also through mutual play and creativity.

THE PAINTER WHO PAINTED A BLUE HORSE
Can there be blue horse, pink crocodile and a dotted donkey? Why not! As a matter of fact, creativity and freedom make good friends. It will be a book by the world-known illustrator Eric Carle, serving as a kind of jumping-board for the singing and creative works of the kids, presenting this kind of freedom in a very clear way to the youngest.

Fathers (workshop)
This is a creative literature performance with elements an author-reading, a play and fine-arts installation. With the help of the lecturers, the kids will create an object of art, inspired by the introduced text Otcovia/Fathers. The communicated expressions as love, fear, help, conflict, dream and omission of an explanation - will be explained through lecturers and created illustrations. The project is supported by the FPU.

Become an illustrator as well
The laureate of the Post Bank Award Miroslav Cipár will carry away the participating kids into the illustrator's world. Cipár will introduce his works and actively help the kids with the illustrations in workshop. One of those works may even become the logo of the Post Bank to be used at the occasion of the BIB 2021.

The Children’s Jury of BIB 2019
The Children’s Jury of BIB 2019 met on October 22, 2019. The members of jury were: Henrich Dušek ; Juraj Helbich ; Paula Miksová ; Viktória Rusňáková ; Gabriela Sabelová ; Nina Štepanovská ; Karin Tvrdoňová. They chose Karin Tvrdoňová to be their chairman. All conditions for work of the jury were fulfilled.
